The Bicycle Parlor is a Mobile Bike Shop serving Imperial Beach, Coronado, Chula Vista, National City, and San Diego. That means we’ll come to you to complete your bicycle service or repair! Just call to make an appointment, and a fully-stocked bicycle shop on wheels will show up at your home or place of business ready to keep your two-(or sometimes three-) wheeled machine in tip-top condition.

The Bicycle Parlor is run by Tyson Schmidt, a bicycle mechanic extraordinaire. He is a United Bicycle Institute Certified Bicycle Mechanic, having obtained that lofty title at the Ashland, Oregon UBI campus in 2012. Since 2010, he has wrenched on bikes for three different bicycle retail establishments and for one government institution. He is experienced with road bikes, tandems, recumbents, full suspension mountain bikes, hardtail mountain bikes, rigid mountain bikes, beach cruisers, fixies, adult tricycles, industrial tricycles, bmx bikes, vintage bikes, modern bikes, electronic shifting, internally geared hubs, disc brakes, v-brakes, u-brakes, cantilever brakes, center pull -piece bottom brackets, brakes, side pull brakes, coaster brakes, 1-piece bottom brackets, 3-piece bottom brackets, cartridge bottom brackets, external cup bottom brackets, press fit bottom brackets, and probably a few others as well. He has minimal experience with unicycles, but has assembled at least two.

The Bicycle Parlor is committed to a smaller, greener footprint. Two solar panels power the mobile bike shop, and we use sustainably-sourced, biodegradable products whenever possible. We save all bike tubes and tires for recycling. We disassemble and sort broken bicycle parts into steel, aluminum, and brass for recycling as well.
